- What I would try to do is determine if the buzz is originating in the
- house or outside. Disconnect the house wiring at the telephone company's
- terminal block in the basement and connect a basic phone directly

- phone company's problem and obligation to fix at no charge.

- to the way the wiring is run. I would want to see you fix the problem
- rather than work around it if for no other reason than to eliminate the
- unlikely possibility that there is some accidental connection to power
- wiring (very unlikely, but not something you want to risk).
